About Me

Minneapolis, Minnesota
Well I've set 3 goals for myself this year Madison 1/2 Marathon May 30th, RAGBRAI the last week in July, and the Twin Cities Marathon October 3rd. I was told that blogging training progress helps with motivation. This should be a very difficult but fun and rewarding year.

Yesterday was a four mile day, felt pretty good when I was finished. It was the second four mile day in a row, I felt good last night when I went to bed. This morning however my upper shins and quads were angry with me, good thing it is an off day. I now know why recovery days are preached so much. On a professional note Sassy Cassie starts as my new lead teller today, so excited. I also don't have to work open to close so extra bonus. :-)

  1. I hope you are streching well before you start and you may want to do some short wind sprints when you are finished for the day to help get the L acid out of your legs after a hard run keep it up!

  2. like dad said it is just as important to cool down, as it is to stretch and warm up

  3. Stretching before, after cooldown, and before bed. I'll try out the sprint thing and see how that feels. The heel down technique you told me about in FL is working well.
